At the Department of Plant Bioresources Studies, Research is carried out on
plant cultivation centering on grain cultivation and on special-purpose crops, medicinal
crops, feed crops, plants that are consumed as well as their products. Research is carried
out to continually supply plant resources necessary for mankind’s survival by maintaining
productivity without destroying the Earth’s environment.
The Department of Plant Bioresources Studies uses the latest biotechnology and crop production technology to address the issues related to food shortages. By equipping students with specialized knowledge and skills to maximize the production and value of bio resources, the department aims to nurture them into experts that are needed by the bio industry in the future.

The Department of Environmental Landscaping is a comprehensive academic discipline aimed at creating beautiful, artistic and functional landscaped spaces based on environmental expertise. This particular area is garnering a great deal of attention these days due to the growing interest in health and ecosystem protection, amidst the rapid changes in the environment.
The educational objective of SJU Department of Environmental Landscaping is to nurture professionals capable of creating an ecologically health environment and beautifully landscaped spaces. To this end, the department offers programs in environmental ecology, landscaping planning and design, and landscaping work and management to turn students into environmental landscaping experts.

The Department of Animal Resources explores life sciences related to companion animals for emotional development and leisure activities as well as industrial animals for securing resources of food and nutrition that are indispensable to survival, health, and welfare of mankind. Systematic research is carried out on raising and managing industrial and companion animals and their welfare, protection, production, processing, management, and distribution.
